This is something I'd not really thought about until a couple of weeks ago and I will explain why in a moment, but the general idea was, that I'd like to bring a little of my spirituality into my gaming life.
So here she is, this is Charmer, she's my newest pet and I've had her for a couple of weeks now. She's named after a fox from one of my favourite cartoons as a child, the Animals of Farthing Wood. If any of you have ever seen me mention my spirit beast Dreamer, she's also named after a character from the same program, though Dreamer is a cat named after a fox and Charmer is a fox named after a fox.
Lately, I'd say from about mid December, I've had foxes coming into my life in many different ways which is one way a spirit animal will enter your life, either by showing up everywhere or via meditation and so on. Usually I'd pay attention to the animal, learn a bit about it and accept that it's going to be around for a while and try to learn form the animal or figure out hwy it is around at the moment. The thing with the fox though is, I've always been drawn to foxes even as a young child. One of my favourite things as a youngster was a plushie fox keyring which I took everywhere as well as several larger plushes and toys and, of course, the foxes in Farthing Wood (they were my favourite characters). We also used to have foxes living near by and I loved staying awake listening to them, especially when the cubs were playing in spring.
I'm rambling a little aren't I, sorry!
My foxes of late have come in many different forms and I felt the urge really to go with the flow and tame one in WoW. I wanted to have my spirit animal with me and try to form a connection with it more than I have with any other animal. I grow fond of my hunter pets as I am sure a lot of you other hunters do and they become my friends or like real pets to me, so this seemed like a good option when I was looking for a way to connect with my spirit animal a bit better.
So that's how I've brought a little bit of my spirituality into my gaming world.

The Day we Broke Ulduar
Ok in all fairness there have been many days when we have broken Ulduar, there was the time when everything was neutral to me and I was able to click the floor in Algy's room and make is vanish... But I don't -think- I have the screencaps form that anymore, if I do they're hidden away in the depths of an external.
Thursday happened to be Ulduar day this week so off we (a guildie and I) went. Everything was going fine and easy as you would expect until we downed XT and found we were still stuck in combat and were getting DBM messages from the Razorscale fight. We can back, killed the mobs that were still there and that seemed to fix the issue.
Or did it?
*dramatic music*
A few minutes later, we're stood waiting for Algy to spawn and we get put into combat again, from out of nowhere one of Razorscales larger adds spawns, abruptly gets killed by my imp and then despawns.
Finally had chance to screencap one on our way down to Vezax but these guys were popping up all the way through, I'm sure we had one spawn on Thorim to but I may have been imagining things.
So, that was the day we broke Ulduar, I'd love to hear your tails of breaking raids and having strange things happening!

Rambling About Twilight Highlands
While waiting for a rare to spawn, there I am on the right, waiting and flying around to a different spawn point, then waiting again... I got to thinking, my first thought was, why have I never thought to tame that pretty lion before and my second thought was, I really didn't value the beauty of the Twilight Highlands in Cata.
This was my least favourite of the Cata zones. Hyjal was beautiful and is still one of my favourite to level through, Vashj'ir, though awkward at times had a pretty cool story and going inside those ancients? that was pretty funky. Deepholme I fell in love with because, well I don't know why. Uldum was fun and had pretty shiny templey thingies and then thee was Twilight Highlands. My first experience of this zone was not at all enjoyable and it felt like 84 to 85 took aaaages even though it was less then a day. I don't know there was just something I didn't get along with here, but really, what's not to like? There's dragons, dead ones which made me rather sad, and that may seem like a very simple way of putting it but who cares! There's a load of Twilight evilness, and for me there were also many deaths of my hunter. Really that's about all I took out of my first experience of the place so I guess looking back at that I'm not surprised I wasn't a fan.
But let's get back to today. There I was flying around thinking, well this soundtrack is rather nice, I've not heard it in a while and I found myself getting a little carried away and flying around to one of the creepiest but for some reason one of my favourite places in game, the Maw of Madness, look at it! It's not right to find that place pretty is it... I know, I worry for myself too. Then I got to thinking well, this isn't such a bad zone after all, I usually avoid it completely now while I'm leveling but I may make and exception for my next character and actually go back and visit and see if it is really as bad as I remember. All of Azeroth deserves a second chance right?

First Impressions: Warlords
So, Warlords has been out for a while and I thought a first but kind of late impressions post would be a good place to start the new blog, so here goes!
The leveling experience.
I really enjoyed leveling, Shadowmoon Valley is my favourite zone for quite a few reasons. Gorgrond seemed the easiest to level through and Spires is my least favourite at the moment though I've not completed Frostfire at level 90 (completed it at 100 after a faction transfer) so I'll withhold judgement there.

Garrisons.
I love my garrison even though I'm still getting to grips with using my followers to their full advantage. The only down side I've found to them is, I used to love having a little spot in a city where I'd chill out with guildies and have giggles and what not, but there is always /g for that.

Raiding
I took a long break from raiding in Mists, not through choice but due to some rather complicated personal reasons. I'm really enjoying getting back into it and Highmaul has some pretty fun fights in my opinion, though it's not the best looking raid in the world. They're Ogres though so I can't really say this is a surprise.

Everything else
I'm not really a big fan of having another horde and orc centric expansion and I'm really hoping we get a nice lump of burning legion content to look forward to. As far as flying is concerned, I'm not really bothered either way, I can use my flying mounts while doing old content which I do a lot of. I think it's nice to see ground mounts being used again.

So for the most part I am really enjoying thus expac so far, it has been the expac of new beginnings for me too and I'm happier in game than I have been for well over a year. A combination of having new content and finally being in an active guild where I can make friends and raid again has made the last month pretty awesome.
